Topic 5: Using digital technologies to help students track their progress and make adjustments to their learning plans as needed

Digital technologies can offer many benefits for e-learning students, such as providing instant feedback, personalized learning paths, and self-regulated learning strategies. However, to make the most of these advantages, students need to be able to monitor their own learning progress and adjust their goals and plans accordingly.

Here are some tips on how to use digital technologies effectively for this purpose:

  • Use online tools that can help students set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals for their learning outcomes.
  • Use online tools that can help students track their learning progress and provide feedback on their strengths and weaknesses. For example Quizlet to create and practice flashcards and games.
  • Use online tools that can help students adjust their learning plans and strategies based on their progress and feedback. For example: Socrative to get real-time feedback from the instructors and peers, or Evernote to organize and revise notes and resources.
  • Use online tools that can help students reflect on their learning process and outcomes. For example: Google Forms to create and complete self-assessment surveys and Padlet to share and discuss your learning reflections with others.

By using digital technologies to help students make progress and make adjustments to their learning plans as needed. They can enhance their e-learning experience and achieve their learning goals more effectively and efficiently.
